68th Anniversary of Operation Overlord.

Post  Snake4199 on Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:52 pm

It is the 68th anniversary of D-Day. June 6th, 1944 (Operation Overlord). The world's greatest invasion of all time, no amphibious assault on a beach has matched to D-Day. Canadians, The English, Scottish, North Irish, American, and some French men stormed Normandy, France and deceived the whole Nazi military that their invasion would be in the Pas De Calais, miles away from where they landed. Today was the 'longest day' for WWII veterans... if you haven't already congratulate a WWII veteran for surviving through that (Dropping a ramp and having 10 guys drop dead in front of you), or even if they didn't for their service.

"There is one great thing that you men will all be able to say after this war is over and you are home once again. You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what you did in the great World War II, you WON'T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, Well, your Granddaddy shoveled shit in Louisiana. No, Sir, you can look him straight in the eye and say, Son, your Granddaddy rode with the Great Third Army and a Son-of-a-Goddamned-Bitch named Georgie Patton!"
- General George S. Patton, Jr

Shit... I'm back to the anime perv I used to be back when I was in 6th grade(KissXSis)

What is love?
