It's called the liar's paradox. The first sentence says that the second sentence is true, and the second sentence says that the first sentence is false. So, according to the first sentence, if it were true, the second sentence would be true, which says that the first sentence is false, and that means that what the first sentence says is wrong i.e. the second sentence is not true, so that makes the first sentence true again.. and goes on and on etc. The point in this paradox is that you cannot give either of the sentences a truth value (you cannot call them true, nor false), thereby questioning our common sense about everything being either true or false. (if it is not true, then it must be false, and vice-versa)

If you were to put a coin into an empty bottle and then insert a cork into the neck, how could you remove the coin without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle?

You could cause the cork to shrink, causing it to fall into the bottle the rest of the way and allowing you to fish out the coin without removing the cork.

You push the cork into the bottle and sake the coin out?
